Well done, good entry. You got those questions about your country. I got the following about South Africa…[hahah...it shows you how little the "westerns" really know about African and in this case..SA! [all they know is Africa is...wild! and have animals...nothing more]
Anyway..i was asked the following: Have you got some tea in your country? Do you have tar roads…are there animals walking wild in your back gardens, have you got some cd’s in your shops. Do you have shops like us (in the uk). Where in Africa do you live! [question from an adult, by the way!!][oh my gosh...i used to live in South Africa..don't they know where that is!!]
I think they should educate students more about Africa and South Africa (your country etc) in schools. They haven’t got a cooking clue what it is like… ask them a question and all they know is…animals/wild…nothing else..not even a name of a river…name of a mountain range…etc…I was 12 when I had to learn ALL the names of the countries in the word..plus the capital cities PLUS another big city in that country…plus the mountain range of each continent + big rivers of the continents….etc etc etc… so, if we could do it…why not all the others too…I think we were far more educated when it comes to Geography and general knowledge if you ask me… take that footballer of the US [last year] he didn’t know that English is the language that is spoken in the UK! – what about ms Teen US….of a few years back..video on youtube… making a fool of herself [and the education system of the USA!]

I am 18 years old, and I have recently discovered the music from the 90’s. Where music was lyrical, poetical. and contained a message within the song. I love all the Lyrical geniuses ranging from Tupac, Nas, Common, Immortal Technique, Black Star (my top five) It seems as if when artists were trying to get known, they poured out there soul into their music going to the 3rd mile in what they did. Now, it seems that whenever they reach stardom and fame and become commercialised they stop doing what they did. And now the people of my generation calls the music of today true hip-hop. I shake my head in shame and raise the volume of my mp3. I believe that the genre of Conscious rap is returning to underground as people forget the truth and the message of the lovely lady of hip-hop. People forget that RAP stands for Rhythm And Poetry. This is my perception of the topic.

This is a beautiful piece. Mothers who go to prison and the children they leave behind have some of the largest hurdles to overcome, but so often, this is completely ignored by people unless you’ve experienced it firsthand. I really appreciate that the mother and daughter here shared so openly.

Thanks for sharing this amazing post. Echoes my thoughts exactly! I have 14 piercings, some of them very uncommon, and my reason for getting them is simple as well – I love piercings. Will be getting a corset real soon. I have been warned time and again about the dangers of multiple piercings but that doesn’t stop me, never will! I love my body piercings!!

Well said. Women can be modest and still be, “sexy.” In my opinion, this is more sexy. When you don’t see everything on the outside it keeps you wondering…what is on the inside? When you see a girl walking down the boardwalk or wherever, wearing a low cut top or tight jeans that make your butt look bootylicious< funny word! It leaves no room for question. I feel like you can just make an assumption right then and there. Like..dang…or wow she’s hot…but thats it…they pass you buy…whereas when you see a girl with a long summer dress blowing in the wind, smile on her face….it makes you think, hmm?……………. Think about it Ladies there is a tactful way to do this…Do you want to be a mystery ready to be solved or do you want to be passed by with another hi and bye never being asked that who, what, how, or why?Keep it Real, Beauty Lies Within!
