LeBron James vs Michael Jordan

By Justin Davis

Who would you choose to lead your fantasy team: Michael Jordan or LeBron James? Well, I would choose the 6’’9 and two hundred eighty-five pound LeBron James any day over Michael Jordan. Of course Michael Jordan was extraordinary, but I believe that the NBA has evolved since his day and time, and LeBron James is the future of the sport. Today’s players are more well-rounded with a complete game.

LeBron James storms around the basketball court like a full-grown man playing with a bunch of immature kids. He continues scoring night after night on defenses designed only to stop him. If this is not legendary then what is? Even though James has never had a hot-shot team around him, he still finds a way every year to lead his young team to the Eastern Conference Championship all by himself. When you look at it from a different angle, he really plays every game five on one.

However, don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that Michael Jordan is not a legend, but he is just not as great as LeBron James will be remembered. Yes, Jordan did win six NBA championships, but there is a logical explanation for this. Michael Jordan had an all star team placed around him. He really didn’t have to score thirty points a game, because he had other players that could score too. Also, since the other players were scoring threats too, teams couldn’t just design their whole defense against Jordan, because then the other players on offense would scorch them.

When you think about it, they are almost the same player. They both have the same style of play; however, LeBron James just makes his scoring look a whole lot easier than Michael Jordan did. Also, they both average around thirty points a game, but I would still rather have LeBron James, who can play almost any position on the court.

At the end of the day, I believe that LeBron James is the future of the NBA. He has the whole package and then some. Michael is a great and will always be remembered for his legendary achievements, but James will eventually surpass him on every record set.

  1. Kevin Says:

I think Lebron will go down as the 2nd greatest basketball player ever behind M.J. M.J simply has waaaaay to many achievements for anyone to surpass him. Have you ever seen his numbers the first 4 or 5 games he came into the NBA. Scary. lol. But lebron is a beast. He’s really starting to seperate himself from the pack.

Oh yea, help my friends and I resolve our arguement at

    I’d really appreciate it
